My Path?
I awoke this morning with a memory of a question posed a few years back:
"What would your 5yo self think of you today?"
Then I thought, my 5yo self would be disappointed in the person that I have become due to the fact that she was a fearless beast who lived life like a big adventure. while I have become this increasingly timid person.
Although I have stepped out and attacked certain fears, ie becoming a fire fighter- fear of fire to going on a Missions trip and talking to folks about God, I still haven't changed much in my career.
This realization has been making me very unhappy. For the past few weeks, really after the missions trip, I have been asking myself, "what do you want to do?" Simple question really, but yet I have no answer.
Facts:
- I LOVE Chemistry
- I love skincare and esthetics
- I have developed a serious passion for working out and becoming healthier
- I love children and long to become a mother
- I strongly desire to become a wife
- I really like socializing
- I love people and I love making a difference in folks lives
- I want my OWN!
I somehow wish I could wrap that into one thing. find my niche. But for now, I'll keep grinding and praying that God will reveal his purpose for me and let his path shine so bright that it'll be hard for me to ignore!
Think Big folks!!!

Results of the New Years Dating Challenge
So it's New years day and I'm at peace. I completed the challenge with 7 dates, not 10. But I found out some very useful things.
1. Dating is a lot more fun when you know what you want, but have no expectations from the person in front of you.
For some time now, I have said over and over again that dating wasn't fun and was indeed a necessary evil to the ultimate goal of getting married.. Unfortunately, I went on dates with this in mind. Analyzing each guy as a potential husband or baby daddy. This led to a lot of disappointment and/or rejection. However, with this challenge, my focus was completely on getting to know these guys for who they were, not who I wanted them to be.
2. I was able to get clarity on friendships vs relationships.
Two of the players in the challenge were actual friends that I thought I had romantic feelings for. Through the challenge, I discovered that we indeed were "just friends" and what I thought was feelings were actually friendship feelings.
3. Not every guy is the "one" or even a contender, but could be a really great friend!
This year a lot of my single friends escaped the dating world and entered the realm on marriage. This left a major hole in my life. No more hanging out without the spouse, etc.
This is all fine, but I needed friends to fill that void and there's nothing wrong with having true friends of the opposite sex.
4. It's ok to get to know a person for just friendship.
This line of thinking really makes it easier to be light hearted when you contemplating a date. If it doesn't work out, you have a new friend. I was also able to see guys for what they really are. True friends!
5. Open your mind to the endless possiblitlties that dating can bring.
With revisiting old contenders and putting myself out there to meet all different types of folks. I mean, truthfully, the idea of dating doctors and lawyers was foreign to me. Mainly because the ones I know are usually arrogant pricks that have some type of God complex. But with counseling from my friends and my family and encouragement from this challenge, I have met some guys who are in this category that are down to earth and really good friends!!! I am soo glad I am letting go of biases.
Needless to say, because of this challenge I am now seeing the fun in dating again and I'm looking forward to the next challenge. Yaaaaay

My Personal Challenge.....
I am officially challenging myself. I will write (and post) 30 posts in 40 days!I bet you sre wondering why I'm doing this. Or maybe you are like"why would we care?" Well I ask, why not? Whether you are my personal friend or just a person who happened upon these words, I am making a promise to give you some thing to read. A reason to come back for more. You might fall in love with my style of typing and especially my typos. Or maybe you are wondering, "could one persons life be filled with that much unavoidable drama?"The answer is YES!!!!! So stay tuned and prep those eyes for insane readings! 40 days 30 posts lol
When it rains, it POURS!
I know I have not written in a while. Things have been a bit crazy for me. For those who don't know, I was in an accident in October. I was rear and front ended and now I'm going to physical therapy 3 times a week. Then 3 weeks to the date, on the ever soo highly anticipated 11/11/11 at 11am, I was struck again. Needless to say I no longer want to leave the house! lol
And there are soooooo many other things to complain about but not enough time, nor energy, nor desired to re-live every torid detail of the past weeks. I just knew it was time to finally put something together since I haven't written in a while. I think pretty soon, we are going public!!!!!
